​A little inspiration from an exploration trip to the Amazon with my friend Mike Horn, was all I needed to write the first script of a children's Turtle book! 

2018
After a few sketches here and there, nothing has given me this slap or lightbulb moment, until a comic version of Ella, the infamous 'Squid eating' sea turtle made it into a cartoon version. There I knew this is going to be great, it just felt right. 

Aug 2020
Who ever self published a book know what I had to go trough. Book size, material, how many pages, where to print, languages, proof reading, how to publish, how much text, colours, cover, registration numbers, sales channels, etc. A million decisions to be made, until I finally got the first Ozalids to give the go head to print. Ellas Website and online shop is built.  

Christmas 2020
All pre-orders and pre-christmas orders have been posted to 16 different countries. Several shops approached and are selling the book in their stores. 

2015
Many years passing with very little progress, a few element here and a few there. In 2015 a Turtle called Ella changed the original story to here remarkable survival story and character. The real script was born. 

2020
I guess we all know what happened then. No more travelling and expeditions for me, that's where I know the time for the book has come. I now working on it day and night. Little did I know how much work it was.

After a couple of media releases, pre-orders came in from all around the world months ahead of this day, when the first books arrived in Australia, just in time for Christmas. A week later they arrived in Germany and the United States.

The first project to be supported have been chosen. Starting with Lissenung island Turtle Project in PNG, Snotbot in the US and my own new project I am building with a team here in Australia called Sevententh. The first donations are ready to be sent.
